New appointment for Johann Stuckenbruck

An atmospheric photograph of Johann Stuckenbruck, a dark-haired man, in a black shirt striking a conducting pose against an ink-blue background. His hands and one side of his face are lit by a sideways light. His eyes are closed, his baton hand raised across his body and the fingers of his other hand splayed with expression.

Many congratulations to conductor Johann Stuckenbruck, recently announced by the Orchestre Symphonique du Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean, Quebec, as Conductor and Artistic Director.

Johann begins his tenure in the 2025-26 season as the third Music Director in the orchestra’s 46-year history, following Jacques Clément and Jean-Michel Malouf.

We were delighted to have Johann with us as guest conductor at our 2025 Edinburgh summer rehearsal week.
