Meet the student conductors for the Tchaikovsky
In no particular order, we'd like to introduce you first to Sam Scheer. Sam is a postgraduate conductor at the Royal College of Music where he has a scholarship to study with Toby Purser, Peter Stark and Howard Williams. Whilst at the RCM, Sam has taken part in masterclasses with Sir Andrew Davis, Martyn Brabbins, Vasily Petrenko and Sakari Oramo as well as having conducted concerts with the RCM Philharmonic and Chamber Orchestras. Recent highlights include performing with Orchestra Oleg Danovsky in Romania featuring Dvorak’s Symphony No.9, conducting the Croydon Youth Orchestra and Chineke! Orchestra in their annual “Inspiration Concert” and working with the Central Band of the Royal Air Force.
