The Rehearsal Orchestra relies upon grants and donations from charitable trusts, companies and individual supporters to subsidise the fees the players can afford to pay.
We need £100,000 a year from benefactors and sponsors to develop our orchestral training programme. Our support in 2008/9 came from Trusts and Foundations, individual donations and the fees from players. In recent years we have also worked with companies, such as Unilever Bestfoods Europe, who value imaginative publicity and/or philanthropic support for a unique orchestra.
As we plan into the future, our aim is to continue to provide challenging learning opportunities whilst keeping costs to players, especially students and young professionals as low as possible. This means in real terms that we shall need to find more of our core and project support from other sources. Funding is particularly challenging during this time of financial instability, but the orchestra is working hard to carry on developing.
If you would like to support the Rehearsal Orchestra or would like some more information, please do get in touch. Any donation you can make will enable the players of tomorrow to have the same opportunities as the many who are now established in the profession have already had.
Thank you.
The Rehearsal Orchestra is Registered Charity number 237816.
