Jamaican-born Edmund Reid was until recently Co-Leader of English National Opera. He has previously been Co-Leader of Welsh National Opera and Principal at the Royal Opera. For many years he has free-lanced with the LSO, LPO and RPO. Edmund Reid has given many violin recitals at Wigmore Hall and Queen Elizabeth Hall. A sought-after teacher, he has given Master classes at the Calcutta School of Music. On his most recent recital tour of the Subcontinent he officiated at the first All-India Violin Competition.
