Timothy has conducted concerts with some of Britain?s leading orchestras, including the London Symphony, BBC Philharmonic, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic and the Orchestra of Opera North. He is a regular guest conductor with the Manchester Camerata and recently made his debuts with the Northern Sinfonia and City of Oxford Orchestra. Recent operatic highlights include Rachmaninov?s Miserly Knight and Puccini?s Gianni Schicchi (Tenerife), Richard Ayres? The Cricket Recovers (Bregenz) and Weill?s Der Silbersee (Wexford). He has also conducted at Opera North, Covent Garden, Glyndebourne, Strasbourg, Garsington, De Vlaamse Opera and Almeida. Recent recordings include an album with Natasha Marsh and the RPO for EMI, Gerard McBurney?s Holly, Go Whistle with Northern Sinfonia and a new version of You Were Right with Badly Drawn Boy. In 2008 Tim returned to Covent Garden to conduct the Royal Opera House?s new production of Thomas Adès? Powder Her Face.
